Please check to be sure you are entered in the events you want
to be in. If there is something wrong, PLEASE DON'T WAIT UNTIL
YOU GET TO THE RODEO TO LET ME KNOW!! Call me with any
corrections so we don't have a mess on the morning of the
finals.
This is not necessarily the order you will run in, only a list
of events to make sure everyone is entered correctly.
Contestant order for Sunday at the finals will be reversed
(bottom to top). Event order will remain the same.
We will do the 5&under dummy roping following the stick horse
events in the arena so everyone has the opportunity to watch the
kids rope.
Don't forget we are having a cookout Friday evening at 8:00 p.m.
with an "introduction of contestants" immediately following.
Bring all your family & friends to cookout & stay to participate
in the "introduction"!
Rodeo will start at 9:00 a.m. both days & run as always (with
exception of dummy roping). We will have a jackpot teamroping
on Saturday evening & a karaoke & dance on Sunday evening. Lane
Frosts' mom will speak to us on Monday morning at awards
banquet. Pictures will be at 8:30 a.m. in arena on Monday,
followed by breakfast & speaker in fair barns across the street
(south) of arena. Then awards will be handed out.
Checks will not be handed out Saturday or Sunday. Pick them up
at awards banquet. I am working on auditing the points & will
try to get them posted by Wednesday. If you find errors or
disagree with something, please call & let me know so points
will be correct on points board at finals.
Don't forget your silent auction items (1 per family). You must
bring this when you check in. If not turned in before rodeo
starts on Saturday, you will not get to rodeo!! Please don't
forget. All proceeds will be divided evenly among college bound
students or students enrolled in college for next year. If you
want to be included in scholarship money, you must sign up when
you turn in your silent auction item. IF YOU DO NOT SIGN UP,
YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR MONEY!! You must send proof of
enrollment next fall & money will be paid in Februay if you send
proof of returning for second semester. If you do not send
proof, your portion of money will be divided equally among those
who fulfilled their responsibilities.
We will draw for the ticket drawing winners at the banquet.
Money due to those who sold additional tickets or collected
additional sponsor money (anything over required $200) will also
be handed out at banquet.
There will be points boards posted at rodeo so everyone can keep
up with where they are sitting during the weekend. If you find
a discrpency on the points, please let me know so it can be
corrected BEFORE PRIZES ARE AWARDED!!
Stalls & hookups on first come first serve basis as always.
Host hotel will be the Wayfarer Inn. Let them know you are with
the NWOJR for rodeo discount. See you this weekend & good luck
to all contestants!!

Team roping following rodeo Saturday evening.
Don't forget finals entries are due at the next August rodeo.

We will have an ICE CREAM SOCIAL after the rodeo Saturday,
approx. 7:30.
A few items to auction off as well. Team roping after rodeo as
well - a #13 handicap. 3 head for $30.00. Any one can enter. All
proceeds to NWOJR prize fund.
AT FINALS THIS YEAR: We will have a hamburger feed
on Friday night
with door prizes to be given away. We are also going to have a
calcutta &
sell each contestant in each event. More details to follow!!

NWOJR Board of Directors is having a family cookout after the
rodeo Saturday
evening. Jeremy Ferbrache is providing brisket and the
board is providing hamburgers and "fixin's". Everyone please
come join us & take the opportunity to get to know everyone
else!! No cost - Donation bucket at the end of the food line.
If anyone has time to make a dessert, we are going to have a
"dessert auction" with proceeds going to association.
Also - Troy
McDonald is setting up his goat roping pen this weekend and we
will have an "official match" with the kids taking on the
adults!! Again proceeds after stock charge and jackpot going to
the association. Everyone come "enter up"!! It will be great fun
and benefit your association as well! Look forward to seeing you
this weekend!!

There is a bicycle activity going on at the
crystal beach park
this weekend, so the roads may be blocked off. You may have to
enter in front of Kids Inc. instead of going by the big arena.
Enter from the North.
Be sure to come by the trailer to get your
raffle tickets
if you are going to sell tickets! It is up to you to get them.
If you are doing sponsorships, the forms are on the web page.
Your $200.00 required sponsorship money IS DUE AT THE JUNE
RODEO!! We will also try on jackets at that rodeo. Please pay
close attention to the change in the order of events this year.
Calves will be drawn, but will be chute run, so you will need
to be paying attention and ride in box when your calf is in the
chute.
Team ropers may enter 2 times with different partner or switch
ends. Both partners owe entry fee & will be eligible for
jackpot. An adult can rope with the kids in EITHER team
roping. Adult must also pay entry fee. They will be eligible
for jackpot, but no points.
Ribbon ropers may enter 2 times with different partner or switch
ends. NO ADULTS! Both partners must pay entry fee & will be
eligible for jackpot & points.
DON'T FORGET YOUR WHITE FLAG on your breakaway ropes!!
We have added several events this year, so please try to help us
run this off in a reasonable amount of time.
